OUT AND ABOUT: LETTERS OUT LOUD, poetry reading
A few weeks ago, I came from a quick poetry reading session in Moonleaf Katipunan sponsored by Candymag. It was easy for me to say yes when I was called to cover it the day itself because I was around the area. I went by for a few rounds of poetry and enjoyed being around people I’ve never met but are also fans of literature.
I was really iffy about staying because the small tea place was getting really crowded and it was as if everyone knew each other. When Marla kicked it off with a short reading from a Summit published book, I felt really humbled by the fact that the speakers for the day would all be sharing bits of heir private lives, and I’m very fond of being around different personalities, I like hearing stories from different backgrounds and most of all, I like poetry.
Overall, it was a pretty unique experience but it won’t be long until you get to join us. The event is a dry run of what is to happen in different colleges and universities. Hopefully they drop by somewhere along Taft for a South session. :)
