Out and About: GOOD TIMES is the ULTIMATE college party; 10/21/11

GOOD TIMES just happened. It was pretty fly, I can’t quite explain the experience but it WAS such an experience. Read on to have a detailed view of what’s in store for you on the next UPJMA event. At the top of my head, I can name 5 things I looked forward to which exceeded my expectations.

1.) Overflowing Booze

Who would say no to free-flowing drinks? Bottles were everywhere on the first hour. If the bar was too far for you, there was a mobile bartender carrying a booze dispenser on his back while drink stations were in different spots such as the entrance and other corners. If you didn’t go home wasted that night, I don’t think you made the most out of your night.

2.) Indie-Alternative Music

If you’re a chill person like me who prefers none-dugsdugsdugs (think club music, ha!), you would have enjoyed the music. The DJs were pretty awesome; kids sung to the songs no matter how cheesy they were. The music just made the night event better, and I know my friend enjoyed bopping his head with the beat. He did this silly head dance ALL. NIGHT. LONG.

3.) College Kids

If you’re in college, you shouldn’t miss GOOD TIMES. In my whole college life, I’ve been to a number of good events but none of them fully expressed what I was looking for in a college party. Kids here, kids there, kids everywhere. Meeting people was pretty cool but what I enjoyed most is that everybody got along pretty well regardless whether we came from the same school or not. GOOD TIMES promised and delivered. The name alone stated what awaited you: GOOD TIMES. ;)

4.) Surprise, Surprise!

Do I go left, do I go right? It was full of FUN thingies. A mechanical bull welcomed all guests and daring creatures gave it a shot. There were tables where people could test their sobriety. There was an inflatable Twister (the indoor game) where people lounged and jumped all night, no one really played with it. The dance floor was pretty small but everyone managed to squeeze themselves in.

The most fun part was when R18 Vodka started throwing (as in literally throwing!) freebies such as baller IDs and shirts for FREE! Everyone chimped to the center to jump and grab the freebies. P.S. thank you to the 2 guys who gave me their shirts because I couldn’t jump in my heels and skirt, you were really nice. <3

5.) Midnight Reveal

Is it confetti? Is it smoke? Is it a bit of both? UPJMA parties are known for their “midnight reveal”. In some parties, switching off of lights means it’s time to go home but in not in GOOD TIMES— when the lights go off, the party just gets more interesting. We waited for the countdown, screamed our lungs out and awaited the surprise. I gave my friends a heads up that there were some freebies during the reveal, think GCs courtesy of Nail It!. ;)

P.S I really wish Elise was there.

Catching up with an old friend. Letting loose on a Friday night. Dressing down, drinking up, pulling pranks and fooling around. Waking up in the late afternoon, remembering the night before and thinking – damn. Those were some GOOD TIMES.
