Look at me, look at me!
Mardi Gras by eccentricleartiste featuring floral shorts
I was talking to a friend and she mentioned how she’s missing Mardi Gras for the second time for two consecutive years, and how she makes up for it by going to Sinulog this year (which btw, she missed last year for the first time). I’m not familiar with Mardi Gras, but I know what it stands for. I asked more about it and all I know is that it’s colorful. Violets, greens, yellows. Prints. This set is inspired by the Mardi Gras version in my head. Is it….wrong? Tell me. I built it up this way. *laughs*

I’m on to you, S/S by eccentricleartiste featuring pleated shorts
I’m deeply engrossed with Spring even if we don’t have it here in Manila but we have Summer, which is usually side by side with Spring so that’s close enough. ;)

I’m hooked on pinks and neutrals; I’m not sure where I got the influence but I always find beige and pink really neat and easy on the eyes. Draw inspiration from this set when you want to feel and look relaxed without looking bland. These are still perfect for the weather. Notice how it’s really cold at night? It’s as if Christmas got delayed! *laughs*

Jason Wu sets the trend for early 2011

With only 4 years in the business, retail canny Jason Wu recently launched his full line consisting clothing, shoes, bags, accessories and eyewear.

Setting the trend: Tight-fitting pants would have to sit around in your closet for the next season. Jason Wu’s 2011 RTW collection is all about lady-like blouses, tailoring and full, high-waisted trousers.

Some dresses and skirts had intricately hand-sewn details that come in colors of spring with a hint of navy blue.

The collection has skirts that are bound at the center which somehow appear as asymmetric wrap-arounds. They can double for corporate and casual looks depending on what you pair with them.
