Parisian designer Isabel Marant is known for effortless, eclectic pieces. She does not disappoint us with a surprising take on “intimidating gangs” without losing her exquisite feminine touch. Here are a few favorite looks and trends from her A/W 2010 RTW collection:
Rolled-up trousers. One of the most executed trend this Fall is trousers, tight-fitting and loose. Isabel Marant folded up her tailored trousers to the mid-calf paired with messy layering (messy isn’t bad!).
Wrap-arounds. She gives us a wrap-around dress and skirt to lust on. The skirt drapes in the center. She also made use of black leather belts as thick as obis and the same black stilettos for the entire collection.
Flashy detail. Throw in some fringe and fur and the muted pieces are easily glammed up. She incorporated flashy detail with delicate patterns for an instant oomph.
Going Monochrome. She stayed with a basic color palette with some of her pieces. She played with shades of gray, black and olives to achieve a classic, laid-back look in every ensemble.
