It’s hard not to know her especially when she’s got a Marc Jacobs bag named after her. Walking 60+ shows in Fashion Weeks all over the globe and having a long list of endorsements, Canadian model Jessica Stam is undoubtedly the most successful model of her time.
Jessica Stam’s modeling potential was discovered in a coffee shop. She ended up opening Miu Miu’s A/W 2001 show in Paris. Five years on, Stam still refers to it as the label that started her career.

In 2005, Jessica’s career zoomed when Marc Jacobs announced their new it-bag called “The Stam”. This made her surname recognizable, even if many had trouble putting a face to the name. Since then, she’s been active in advertising campaigns for any brand you can think of: from sassy Victoria’s Secret to commercial H&M. Jessica is an unstoppable force— she has been irremovable in the top 10 list of supermodels for over a year.

In the May 2007 issue of Vogue USA, Jessica was on the cover alongside the new crop of “supermodels”. She’s a favorite of runway shows because of her doll-face; she is a true chameleon gifted with the ability to walk runways of Milan, Paris, New York, Tokyo and all the other fashion-centered cities you can think of. She continuously does editorials for top fashion magazines worldwide.
Everything about Jessica Stam is worldwide— her career, her fame, her beauty. Dress her up, change her hair— she promises to look different and stunning all the time. She has been so successful in crossing over to the mainstream without losing her edgy fashion credentials and that’s what makes her a super model. Truly, Jessica Stam is the doll you never had.
